The second-highest wicket-taker in the tournament, Hazaran took nine wickets in six matches at an average of 18.88, an economy rate of 7.39 and a strike rate of 15.3. With bat in hand, Hazaranga’s 66 run average and strike rate were 22 and 150 respectively.
“I love bowling in the subcontinent. I love bowling on the stumps and I think that helps me succeed. I try to play without boundaries and that’s why I took three wickets in the last over today,” said Hazaranga.
