20 20 World Cup 2023 Schedule – Director of the Deaf Domestic Cricket Council (DICC) Zahir ud Din Babar said that the DICC T20 World Cup 2023 will get underway from December 3 in Doha, Qatar.
In this maiden cricket action, Pakistan will open their campaign against Afghanistan on December 4 in Qatar, while the opening match of the event will be played between South Africa and England on December 3.

Zahir said that this is a historic moment for the DICC to hold the first ever cricket event in the world famous country of Qatar which has established its name among the world’s greatest sports facilities.

He expressed his gratitude to the Honorable Sheikh Abdulaziz Saud Al-Thani, President of the Qatar Cricket Association, who showed a special interest and gave all his support to organize this mega event, which is a step forward for the development of cricket among crickets.
“Due to the special efforts and keen interest of Ahmed Mohd QT Al Subaey Chairman of Qatar Deaf Cricket Sports Centre, Deaf cricket is becoming a popular sport in Qatar with the participation of its local players,” said the DICC official.
He said that the T20 World Cup matches will be organized at the International Cricket Stadium in the Asian city, which is known as the highest ground in cricket. “Christopher Raja, the Chairman of Deaf Cricket Sports Centre, has put in a lot of effort to make the best arrangements to run the Cup in a proper manner,” he added.
In response to a question, he said: “Deer cricket is a historic game because it has a unique history that is a hundred years old, because this sport was introduced to the world through deer cricket.”

Regarding the format of the event, the CEO of DICC said that eight major countries belonging to DICC will take part in the tournament where 19 matches will be played. “DICC works hard for the cause of deaf cricket around the world and under the banner of the Domestic Cricket Council has been able to expand its intercontinental activities worldwide by involving its member countries in a comprehensive program of activities.” Zahir said.
He said that DICC President Stefan Pickowski expressed his special thanks to the ICC for its support and cooperation in helping to address the cause of deaf cricket around the world. “With the support of the ICC, we have been able to bring together the leading countries of the world on one platform to initiate collective efforts to take deaf cricket to a new level in the coming years,” said the DICC official.
He said that this 10-day World Cup will serve as an ideal platform for deaf players to showcase their talent and potential and serve as an inspiration to deaf youth in crisis around the world.

Zahir said that the DICC is of the opinion that the T20 World Cup in Qatar will be a way out of the crisis in the region especially in the Gulf countries, where donkey kerb is popularized with each passing day.
