2023 World Cup Fixtures Cricket – The fixture list for the 2023 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup in India has been revealed along with 10 venues for the mega event which will be held over 46 days this year.

The World Cup will begin on October 5 with a repeat of the 2019 final between England and New Zealand at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

A total of 10 teams will take part in the exhibition event, and the top eight have already qualified for the Cricket World Cup through the Super League. The final two places will be decided at the end of the qualifying tournament in Zimbabwe which ends on July 9.

Pakistan will face Australia in Bengaluru on October 20, while England will face South Africa in Mumbai the following day.

India will look to avenge their 2019 semi-final defeat against New Zealand at the beautiful Dharamsala venue on October 22 and Australia will face England on November 4 in Ahmedabad. The runner-up defeated Ayush to enter the final four years ago

India will now welcome England, who they defeated in the finals of the T-20 World Cup 2022 in Lucknow last year.

ICC World Cup 2023 Schedule, Time Table, Stadium

The first semi-final will be held in Mumbai on Wednesday, November 15, with the second semi-final the following day in Kolkata. Both semi-finals will have reserve days.

The final will be held on November 19 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad and November 20 will be the booking day.

There will be a total of 10 locations: Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Dharamsala, Delhi, Chennai, Lucknow, Pune, Bengaluru, Mumbai and Kolkata.

Apart from Hyderabad, Guwahati and Thiruvananthapuram will host warm-up matches from September 29 to October 3.

The ICC World Cup 2023 will be held in India from October 5, 2023 to November 19, 2023, but excitement is building for the event. It will be the first time that India will host it only in its own territory. In the past, in 1987, 1996 and 2011, India hosted the event in collaboration with neighboring Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. The ICC released the 2023 ODI World Cup schedule on Tuesday, June 27. The first match between England and New Zealand will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on October 5.

The ICC Men’s 50 World Cup will follow the same format as the 2019 World Cup. There will be a total of 10 teams and 48 matches will be played with the top three teams from India, Pakistan, Australia, England, South Africa, New Zealand, Afghanistan and Bangladesh qualified for the tournament. The remaining 2 teams will be selected from the World Cup Super League matches. The tournament will have a round-robin format where each team will play once against the other 9 teams. After the round-robin stage, the top 4 teams will qualify for the semi-finals and the top two teams will advance to the finals.

The 10 teams to play in the 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup are India, England, Australia, South Africa, New Zealand, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, West Indies and Afghanistan.

Timing wise the day/night match will start at 14:00 IST Where daily matches will start at 10:30 AM In total we have 6 one day matches and 42 D/N matches India, England and South Africa are the only three teams who will not play one day matches. Where Bangladesh will play a total of three one-day matches.

Team India will begin their World Cup campaign on October 8 against winners Australia in Chennai. The other big matches are against Pakistan in Ahmedabad (October 15), England in Lucknow (October 29) and South Africa in Kolkata (November 5). Each match will be high-scoring as the team competes for two spots in the 2023 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup in India, with nine matches guaranteed in cricket’s global ODI showcase.

The 10 teams participating in the qualifiers are divided into two groups of five with Zimbabwe, the West Indies, the Netherlands, Nepal and hosts USA forming Group A, while Sri Lanka, Ireland, Scotland, Oman and the United Arab Emirates form Group B.

Each team will play the other teams in their group once, and the top three from each group will advance to the Super Six stage. In the Super Six, they will play sides they have not met in the group stage

All points obtained in the group stage will be carried over to the Super Six stage, except for the teams that did not reach the Super Six stage. The finalists will both advance to the 2023 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup

Queen’s Sports Club and Bulawayo Athletic Club, Harare Sports Club and Hare Takashinga Cricket Club will share 34 matches, with Harare Sports Club hosting the final on 9 July. Old Haryana Cricket Club will also host the warm-up sessions

Hosts Zimbabwe will take on Nepal in their opening game at the Harare Sports Club as they aim to qualify for the men’s Cricket World Cup for the first time. Two-time Men’s Cricket World Cup champions West Indies will also take on neighbors USA at Takashinga Cricket Club on June 18.

Group B kicks off on June 19 in Bulawayo, with 1996 World Cup champions Sri Lanka taking on the UAE at Queen’s Sports Club, and Ireland taking on Oman at the Bulawayo Athletic Club.

The Netherlands open their campaign against Zimbabwe at the Harare Sports Club on June 20, while Scotland face Ireland at the Queen’s Sports Club in Bulawayo on June 21. The Super Six stage will begin on June 29, when the bottom two teams from each group will compete in the playoffs.
