The draw for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup has concluded. Australia and New Zealand will be joint hosts, the first such event in the tournament’s 32 years of existence.

2023 World Cup Format

The draw took place at the Aotea Center in Auckland, New Zealand, and was attended by more than 800 delegates from each country that qualified for the tournament. Without further ado, let’s see the groups and which teams are part of them:

Women’s World Cup Group Stage Format For 2023

Group A includes co-hosts New Zealand, Norway, the Philippines and Switzerland in what appears to be a very open group, while Australia finds itself grouped with the Republic of Ireland, Nigeria and Canada in Group B. Neither group has a group locked -in winner which makes the match tasty.

Spain, Costa Rica, Zambia and Japan are in Group C. In Group D we have the winners of the Women’s European Championships: England, Denmark, China and the winners of the qualifying round play-offs (one of Chile, Senegal or Haiti). Spain and England are two great teams and represent a safe ranking in their respective groups.

Group E includes defending champions the United States, Vietnam, the Netherlands and one other qualifier yet to be determined (one of Portugal, Cameroon or Thailand). France, Jamaica, Brazil and the last place up for grabs (one of Chinese Taipei, Papua New Guinea, Paraguay or Panama) form Group F. The two groups here have two big names: the USWNT and the Netherlands in one, France and Brazil on the other.

Sweden, South Africa, Italy and Argentina make up Group G, while Germany (which naturally has a large contingent of Bayern Munich’s Frauen), Morocco, Colombia and South Korea complete the Group H groups.

With not even a month to go until the biggest World Cup final, the road to the 2023 edition of cricket’s biggest event begins in earnest in Scotland with the inaugural Cricket World Cup League Two tri-series. of the World Cricket League against the World Cup qualifiers.
