The Renegades also hold the unlikely record for the lowest total, having been bowled out for just 57 in their 112-run defeat against the Stars in 2015, the heaviest in BBL history before Sunday night’s match.
Philippe was the star of the series with the bat – his 95 innings was the highest by a Sixers player in the competition.
The young Australian was dropped for 24 and took advantage of that early reprieve. He put on a 78-run partnership with captain Daniel Hughes (32) before scoring 70 in just five overs with Jordan Silk, who made an unbeaten 45 off the 19th delivery.
Renegades were delighted when Peter Hatzoglou (2-40) dismissed Jack Edwards (1) in the second over before James Vince bowled Kane Richardson (1-37) for 17.

However, Philippe turned the tide with a blistering knock that featured nine boundaries and three sixes before being bowled by Josh Lalor (1-49) in the final over.
After moving to 14-0, the Renegades lost three wickets in seven deliveries, with Aaron Finch, Sam Harper and Rilee Rossouw departing in quick succession.

Ben Dwarshuis (4-13) and Stephen O’Keefe (3-16) did most of the damage for the Sixers, while opener Shaun Marsh (13) was one of only four players to score double figures for the Renegades.

Finch’s side again suffered a remarkable capitulation, losing five wickets in ten overs as they slumped to 43-9 in the ninth over.
Richardson’s late sixth saw them avoid posting the lowest total in BBL history, but the Sixers sealed the deal for some time to put the Renegades on the table.
Earlier in the day, the Hobart Hurricanes made it two wins from two as they defied a late onslaught from the Adelaide Strikers to win by 11 runs in a thrilling final at Bellerive Oval.
Chasing 175 for victory, the Strikers were 49-6 in the ninth over as the top order collapsed in spectacular fashion.

Matthew Renshaw (33) was the only batsman among the top seven to register double figures, but at 102-9 in the 15th over, his hopes appeared to be fading.
However, an inspired foray from Warwickshire’s Daniel Worrall and Danny Briggs gave the Strikers hope as they scored an unassailable 61.
Worrall scored an unbeaten 62 from just 39 balls, while Briggs also scored 35 from 23 balls – with four boundaries and two sixes in his innings.

The Strikers needed 18 overs for a famous victory but Scott Boland held his nerve with the ball as the Hurricanes backed up success in their preliminary match against the Sixers.
The Hurricanes were indebted to a sublime knock from D’Arcy Short (72 from 48) when they posted 174-5 with Will Jacks (34), Colin Ingram (25) and Tim David (21 *) all contributing valuable figures.
Strikers’ star spinner Rashid Khan conceded 38 runs from four overs and was smashed by Short for 25 runs in the third over, his woes compounded when he was dismissed for a duck the first ball later in the day.
James Faulkner (3-21) was the pick of the Hobart attack, but Johan Botha (2-20) and Riley Meredith (2-30) also impressed as the Hurricanes won in dramatic style. The eighth season of the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) kicks off on Thursday (October 13), with the final taking place on November 27. The Brisbane Heat take on the Sydney Sixers in their tournament opener at the Great Barrier Reef Arena in Mackay, Queensland.
