This week’s Test, which starts on Wednesday, is said to have been reduced to 50 per cent capacity due to COVID-19 concerns, but fans have been quick to snap up tickets for the city’s first men’s international since 2014.
“Ahmedabad is completely sold out, a day-night Test because it is the first match after a long time,” BCCI president Sourav Ganguly told Star Sports.
“…We want to see full seating and standing. And so it is, the tickets are gone, just like the T20s (which follow the Tests).”

Players from both sides have been training on the field this week ahead of the day-night Test, only the second ever played in India.
