The star-studded event was scheduled to begin after the Captain’s Day event at the Narendra Modi Stadium and included fireworks and a laser show.

The 2023 Men’s Cricket World Cup is just around the corner and Ahmedabad – the venue for the opening and final of the CWC, will host the opening ceremony on October 4, a day before the event begins. While no confirmation has been given on the exact location of the opening ceremony, latest reports suggest that the iconic Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium might host.
Members of the International Cricket Council (ICC), the International Cricket Council Executive Committee and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will be present in Ahmedabad to grace the occasion.
Reports also suggest that the opening ceremony will be glittering with captains from all 10 participating teams in the limelight. The BCCI is said to hold an official briefing for the captains during the event, called ‘Captain’s Day’.
All the captains will arrive in Ahmedabad on the morning of October 4 to take part in the short but stunning opening ceremony to kick off the 2023 Cricket World Cup.
