Jordan (Chinese: 佐敦) is a Hong Kong territory located on the Kowloon Peninsula. It got its name from the road of the same name in the region. The area is surrounded by King’s Park to the east, Tsim Sha Tsui to the south, Ferry Point to the west and Yau Ma Tei to the north. Administratively, it is part of Yau Tsim Mong district.

Jordan is located in the center of Yau Tsim Mong district. The western part was officially known as Kwun Chung (官涌), especially before the MTR system started operating in 1979.

Jordan is considered to be the area bounded by Cox’s Road to the east, Austin Road to the south, Ferry Street to the west and Kansu Street to the north. This would make Jordan 1 square kilometer (0.39 sq mi) in size, with a population of about 150,000.
Like much of southern Kowloon, Jordan is sparsely developed and urban, with the exception of a few small parks. The vehicular and pedestrian traffic is very heavy throughout the day.
Jordan is a microcosm of Hong Kong’s working class. Like the nearby districts of Mong Kok and Tsim Sha Tsui, much of Jordan is home to old residential buildings, office buildings, street markets, hotels, restaurants and an almost endless number of small shops. There are also karaoke rooms, guest lounges and massage parlors; However, nearby Mong Kok is better known for such services.
Although Jordan lacks the attractions and facilities necessary to support mainstream tourism, it still attracts a number of tourists interested in experiencing the real life of the working class in Hong Kong. Among the locals, many live in Jordan because of its affordable housing, its location behind Hong Kong’s transportation network, and its diverse cultural flavors.

Most Indians, Pakistanis, Nepalese and other ethnic minorities live in Jordan. So the area bordering Ferry Point has many South Asian restaurants and other market stalls.
Nathan Road and Jordan Road pass through this area. The intersection of these two roads is one of the major intersections in Kowloon.
Jordan is served by an MTR station of the same name on the Tsu Wan line, as well as a number of bus routes.
There is also a bus terminal in Jordan for transportation to the Huanggang border in Shzh, China. The Pakistan national cricket team represents Pakistan in international cricket and is a full member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) for Test and One Day Internationals. (ODI) condition.

Cricket has been played in Hong Kong since at least 1841. Like many cricket-playing countries, it was part of the British Empire. The national cricket team has been in existence since 1866, and the Hong Kong Cricket Association was granted membership of the International Cricket Council (ICC) in 1969. The national team has played four matches in the One Day International but has never received a Test. match the situation. Hong Kong became a colony of the British Empire after the First Opium War (1839–42), and it was during this period that the first recorded cricket match was played in the colony; in 1841.

Two years later, the Hong Kong cricket team was returning from such a match against Shanghai, when the ship they were traveling on, the SS Bokhara, was hit by a typhoon and sank. All but two members of the cricket team drowned along with 114 other players.

An organized domestic cricket tournament was established for the first time in the 1903-04 season and was won by the Army Corps in the first year.
In 1966, the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) visited Hong Kong for the first time on their return from a tour of Australia and New Zealand.
The Hong Kong Cricket Association was granted membership of the International Cricket Council (ICC) in 1969, and a few years later the domestic structure changed, with the first and second divisions being replaced by Sunday and Saturday leagues.
Interport games continued until 1987, when the last one was played against Singapore. In 1992, the first Cricket Sixes tournament was held in Hong Kong.

And was conquered by Pakistan. As runners-up in the 2000 ACC Trophy, Hong Kong qualified for the 2004 Asian Cup. In the 2004 tournament, Hong Kong played its first One Day International (ODI), losing badly to Bangladesh and Pakistan.
Later in 2004, a Saturday league match had to be abandoned because Hussain Butt was a “traffic hazard” during his 311 not out innings in which he hit 36 sixes.
After finishing second in the 2006 ACC Trophy, Hong Kong also qualified for the Asia Cup, where they suffered two heavy defeats in the 2008 tournament, against Pakistan and India.
Cricket is one of the fastest growing sports in Hong Kong today. The game has spread beyond the subcontinent or the Glish population, and many Chinese have also taken up the game. Good progress is expected within a few years.
