Iyer reached his first ton in World Cup Cricket in the 46th over. Rahul reached his century with consecutive sixes in the 50th over. The hundred took 62 balls. It was the fastest World Cup century by an Indian player.

Rohit Sharma won the toss and elected to bat first. Both the teams remained unchanged ahead of the final group clash of the Cricket World Cup.

ICC has now released the complete schedule of ICC Men’s ODI World Cup 2023 to be held in India.

The full fixture list was released on 27 June in the presence of ICC CEO Jeff Allardyce and BCCI Secretary Jay Shah.

The curtain raiser will witness the rematch of the World Cup 2019 final as champions England take on New Zealand in Hyderabad. India will play their first World Cup match against Australia at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on October 8.
