West Indies overcame a late scare to beat India by two wickets with seven balls to spare in the second World Twenty20 cricket match on Sunday.

Chasing a target of 153, West Indies fell from 126-4 to 129-8. The rout began when Mukesh Kumar dismissed top bowler Nicholas Pooran for 67 off 40 balls.
West Indies still four but only two wickets and 24 runs to spare. Akeal Hossain (16 not out) and Alzarri Joseph (10 not out) salvaged an unbroken 26-run stand as West Indies reached 155-8 in 18.5 overs.
The win gives the West Indies a 2-0 lead in the five-match series. They were one win away from winning the series before moving to America for the final two matches.
Tilak Varma top-scored for India with a 41-ball 51. He shared a 42-run third-wicket stand with Ishan Kishan (27) and a 38-run fifth-wicket stand with Hardik, who scored 24 of 18 before being bowled by Joseph.

The teams will remain in Providence, Guyana for the third T20 on Sunday, with the final two matches scheduled for Lauderhill, Florida on August 12 and 13.
West Indies won the first game by four runs and kept the team at one. India replaced the injured Kuldeep Yadav with Ravi Bishnoi.
