MRS. Dhoni (born 7 July 1981 in Ranchi, Bihar [now Jharkhand], India) is an Indian cricketer who rose to prominence in the early 21st century, culminating in his captaincy of the Indian national team that won the 2011 World One Day Cricket Championship.

Dhoni made his international debut in 2004. With his talent, the fifth international scored 148 runs against Pakistan. Within a year, he had joined India’s Test team, and he quickly made a name for himself with a century (100 or more runs in an innings) against Pakistan. Despite his inexperience, Dhoni took over the captaincy of the one-day team in 2007 and led India to the World Twenty20 (T20) title. Series wins over Australia and Sri Lanka, among others, lifted India to the top of the International Cricket Council (ICC) Test rankings for the first time in December 2009. Award in 2008 and 2009. Dhoni’s knock of 91 in the 2011 World Cup – in front of his home crowd in Mumbai – paved the way for India’s victory over Sri Lanka in the final. He also led India to the semi-finals of the 2015 Cricket World Cup. Dhoni retired as India captain in 2017, having led his country in 331 international matches, the most by a captain in the history of the sport. Three years later, he retired from international competition.

The explosion of T20 cricket in the Indian sub-continent led to the formation of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in 2008. In the first season of the league, Dhoni signed with Chennai Super Kings for $1.5 million, the biggest contract in the IPL at that time. He then led the team to two consecutive titles (2010, 2011). The Super Kings franchise received a two-season ban from the IRL in 2016 for its role in the match-fixing scandal, and Dhoni subsequently joined Supergiant Rising Pune. In 2018, he returned to Chennai Super Kings and the team won the IPL championship that year and 2021.3 T20I • Johannesburg South Africa India Today 3:00 PM match starts at 4 hrs 1 min. Rohit Sharma’s Stats, Records And Career Highlights

In the modern cricket schedule, India’s unsuccessful T20 World Cup campaign has not been considered and a bigger tournament is already at their doorstep: the 50 World Cup at home in October and November next year. 23 India is not officially on track for the 2023 ODI World Cup as there are currently no national selectors, who will consult with the team management about the direction the team will take. However, three of the 21 ODIs scheduled for the World Cup begin this Friday in New Zealand and after 3 years of keeping the 50-over format on the priority list, the focus is set to change quickly. India have played just 39 ODIs since the 2019 World Cup, and only six players have played 20 or more ODIs due to injury or workload management. Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant, Uzzvendra Chahal and Ravindra Jadeja made 18, while Jasprit Bumrah made 14 and Hardik Pandya made 12. India tested 44 players during this period. This is enough to show that India is yet to zero in on the gritty team it wants to compete in at the World Cup. , and many new options have appeared in the meantime. We’ll soon find out which side is leaning on the team, but it won’t be easy for the selectors. Here’s a look at the crowded field for the 15 spots in the World Cup squad. Top-order The top three has traditionally been India’s strength in ODIs, but, as in T20Is, there has been debate over whether India should be dynamic up front. They have been working on it for the last three years, which means that India is second only to England in power play. Here’s what: India’s power-run rate has dropped from 5.41 to 4.97 in 11 matches played by the trio of Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhan and Virat Kohli. In the next few months, India will have to decide on both the personnel and the pace at which it wants to go. With that in mind, here are the top contenders. The following numbers are from the 2019 ODI World Cup, in that role. Shikhar Dhawan Innings – 29, Runs – 1192, Average – 46, War Rate – 83 Played more ODs than others. India seem to have roped him in as a left-arm option at the top. Rohit Sharma I 17, R 718, A 45, SR 96 The ODI great, as well as the captain, will have a few matches under his belt after focusing on T20Is for the last three years. Virat Kohli I 24, R 10. Look past Kohli too. It will keep others on their toes. Others: Prithvi Shaw and Ishaan Kishan

India’s middle order will not want a repeat of the 2019 World Cup, which ended with an untested middle order in the semi-finals. Options tested in the last three years Shreys Iyer, K.L. Rahul and Rishabh Pant have seen good results. Hardik Pandya will be a player, especially if he continues to bowl India five more overs into the match. Here are the mid-level candidates in more detail. KL Rahul I 11, R 603, A 67, SR 109 opened the World Cup due to injuries. Since then, 10 of the 22 games he has played have been in the top flight with average results. Rahul was outstanding in the middle order. Schreiss Iyer I 22, R 928, A 49, SR 99 The short ball has proven to be capable of hitting long and fast. This does not allow the spinners to settle in the middle overs. Rishabh Pant I 15, R 613, A 44, SR 114 Unlike the T20s, he takes his time to play. He quickly lands a dangerous left hand. Hardik Pandya I 10, R 429, A 48, SR 116 has done well as a lone batsman in Australia in 2020-21. Bowling is an invaluable bonus. Suryakumar Yadav I 12, R 340, A 34, SR 99 His red-hot form in T20s cannot be ignored. But how do you fit them all in? Others: India still give chances to Rahul Tripathi, Rajat Patidar, Deepak Hooda and Sanju Samson

Apart from all-rounders Hardik, India has several spin-bowlers to choose from. Once Ravindra Jadeja is fit, he should be India’s first choice, but others have the opportunity to do so in his absence. From Hardik and this number 7, India will have to rely on a good over 10 overs. The following figures for bowlers are from the 2019 World Cup. Ravindra Jadeja’s matches – 18, runs – 335, strike rate – 95, wickets – 13, economy rate – 5.4 Worry in last two years. Still the best No. India 7. Axar Patel M 6, R 92, SR 137, W 8, ER 4.2 Nearest Jadeya Cloning. As powerful as a limited-edition scissor, it’s not like a beater. Washington Sundar M 5, R 57, SR 76, W 7, ER 4.8 Rotation type. He comes out with injuries. Others: Shahbaz AhmedSpinners With the spinner likely to be defensive, India will look for batting talent in other spinners. That should narrow it down to two names: spinners Kuldeep Yadav and Uzzvendra Chahal. They are both
