Four years ago on this day, Rohit Sharma blasted his third century in ODIs.
Rohit, went on to score 208 against Sri Lanka at the Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali in a match played on 13 December 2017.
The right-handed batsman smashed 208 against Sri Lanka with 13 fours and 13 sixes to help India to 392/4 in the allotted fifty overs. The hosts then won by 141 runs.
Rohit scored two hundreds against Sri Lanka and one against Australia in ODIs. The right-handed batsman is the only cricketer to hit two triple hundreds in ODI history.

Rohit was named India’s new ODI captain last week and has taken over from Virat Kohli as India prepare for the upcoming white-ball series.
“I am deeply honored and grateful for the opportunity. It is a huge responsibility. I am very excited about it. I am looking forward to leading the Indian team in white-ball cricket. It will be an exciting journey, something I am looking forward to ,” Rohit recently said in an interview published on the BCCI website
“When I get the chance, I try to keep it very simple, try to keep one thing in common which is a clear communication with the actors and make sure they understand the role,” he added.
Rohit will be seen playing in the South Africa series starting on December 26.
