He finished the group stage as the top scorer of the tournament with 594 and an average of exactly 99. His total now stands at 101.57.
“All this is like a dream for me to be honest,” Kohli said. “It’s too good to be true. I never thought I’d be here in my career.”
“It’s a big game today and I have to play the role I played during the tournament so that the people around me can express themselves. It’s great that everything went well.”

Virat Kohli scored his first Test century since 2019 as India posted 571 on day four of the fourth Test against Australia.
Kohli’s 186 and Shubman Gill’s 128 helped India build a 91-run lead against the visitors, who were bowled out for 480 in the first innings.

Kohli went on to 59 not out on the penultimate day to reach his first hundred since November 2019 when he scored 136 against Bangladesh.

Against the Titans, Kohli braved adverse conditions (due to rain in Bengaluru) and a late start as well as regular wickets in the middle overs to take the Royal Challengers to a strong score of 197/5 in 20 overs.

The right-handed batsman started the innings cautiously as the rain had almost subsided by the time the players took the field. After analyzing the situation, both – Kohli and RCB captain Faf du Plessis – began to take their foot off the pedal, with the former dismissing Yash Dayal in the fourth over of the game. Kohli eventually brought up his century in 60 balls and took just 25 balls for his next fifty. In the final innings against Mohit Sharma, he reached the coveted three-figure mark when he pushed the delivery for a single.
It was also Kohli’s 8th century in T20 cricket, equaling the Australian trio of David Warner and Aaron Finch and Michael Klinger.
