With this century, Kohli came close to Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar’s record of 49 ODI centuries. It is now a century away from becoming an iconic monument.
Kohli reached his century with 97 runs in India chasing 257 runs in Bangladesh. The former India captain scored 103 off 97 runs, smashing six boundaries and four sixes.
With this knock, Kohli overtook Mahela Jayawardene to become the fourth highest run-scorer in international cricket. He is now followed by Sachin Tendulkar (34,357 runs), Kumar Sangakkara (28,016 runs) and Ricky Ponting (27,483 runs) on the list.

However, Kohli has scored 259 runs in four innings at an average of 129.50 and a strike rate of 90.24, second only to Indian captain Rohit Sharma (265 runs).
