Virat Kohli bin percentage as captain in Tito – After giving up the T20I captaincy and being sacked from the ODI captaincy, Kohli also resigned from the Test captaincy.
Like a bedtime story, Kohli’s reign from now on begins with the story “Once upon a time, there lived a king who conquered the world”.
Virat Kohli Win Percentage As Captain In T20

India has come a long way in the last three months. Kohli announced that he will step down from the T20I captaincy after the T20I World Cup. A disappointing loss and exit from the T20 World Cup. And then came the mother of all confusion between BCCI and Kohli which saw him sacked as ODI captain. Yesterday (15 January 2022), he resigned himself from the Test captaincy, ending his career as one of India’s most successful captains.
Rohit Sharma Visa Virat Kohli Captaincy Record
Kohli, in his role as India’s captain has done a lot. Winner of Australia’s first Test series in 2018/19, the home series title and influential victories in England and South Africa are some of the highlights of his Test career. Apart from those victories, grooming the fast bowlers was one of his greatest achievements as the Indian captain.
Kohli in Tests for India, has achieved many achievements as a captain, especially his victories in Tests outside Asia. Here are some notable statistics from his seven-year career as captain:
Whenever there is a discussion about who is India’s greatest captain, Kohli’s name tops the list. 40 wins in 68 matches is the most for Indians and there is a statistical point to it. In Tests, only Steve Waugh (41), Ricky Ponting (48) and Graeme Smith (53) have won.
Returning to India, Kohli’s win/loss ratio of 2.352 in these 68 matches is the best for an Indian captain who has led his team in 15 or more matches. In fact, his win/loss ratio is the best among all Asian captains with 15 or more wins.
Virat Kohli Announces To Step Down As Test Captain Of Indian Team
Talking about Asian captains, the main goal for them is to win in non-Asian conditions. Kohli was very good at that. With 11 wins in 30 matches, Kohli is the only Asian captain to win 10 or more matches outside Asia. In 36 tests, Kohli has won 16 matches with a win/loss ratio of 1.142. Among captains who have led in 10+ matches, his 16 wins are the most, only Rahul Dravid (1.250) has a better win/loss.
Kohli is known to the world as one of the worst when it comes to winning the toss. However, if he wins the final, by any means, it will be a daunting task for the opposition to defeat India. Of the 31 times he has won a shootout, he has lost only three. His hitting streak was unbeaten until 2019 as he won 21 of his 25 hitting streaks, the other four were drawn and did not fall. However, he has lost three of his last six bouts. However, among captains with 15+ strikeouts, his win/loss ratio of 8.0 is the best.
Beating India at home is one of those impossible things. Under Kohli’s captaincy he became stronger. In fact, in 31 home matches, India have lost to the losing team only twice. Among captains who have led their team in 20 or more home Tests, only Kane Williamson (16.0) has a better win/loss ratio than Kohli’s 12.0.

But, Kohli has achieved one of the unthinkable at home. In the 11 series he has captained India, in those he has not lost a single series or been pulled. He is the only captain to have a 100 percent winning record at home after leading 10+ series.

Although he has struggled with the bat recently, Kohli is one of the best. For most captains who are batsmen, the average hits them while leading, but Kohli does. Kohli averaged 41.1 as a non-captain and improved to 54.8 as captain.
In Tests, Kohli has scored 5,864 runs as captain, the fourth most among all batsmen. Kohli scored 20 centuries in his seven-year career, while only Smith (109 matches) has surpassed him (25) in his 11-year career as South Africa captain.
The biggest of all the improvements that took place under Kohli as India’s captain was in the fast bowling department. Mohammed Siraj, Shardul Thakur, the improved Ishant Sharma, Mohammed Shami and Jasprit Bumrah, a deadly rapid fire that sent shivers through the opposition.
Under Kohli’s leadership, four Indian pacers have 100+ wickets to their name. Shami (168), Ishant (121), Umesh (104) and Bumrah (103). Under another Indian captain, more than two pacers have 100+ wickets. Graeme Smith has seven pacers under his captaincy with 100+ wickets, Sir Clive Ll0yd has five pacers with 100+ wickets.

PROCESS A leader who can translate his vision into reality On this day in 2013, Virat Kohli will captain India for the first time in ODIs against Sri Lanka in Kingston. Currently, he is one of the best captains India has ever had02 July, 2020 Anirudh Kasargod A look at some of the highs and lows of India under Virat Kohli’s captaincy in ODIs.
On the evening of 8 December 2021, the Indian selection committee announced the 18-member squad led by Virat Kohli for the Test series in South Africa starting from 26 December 2021. Rohit Sharma took over the ODI captaincy from Virat Kohli. And just like that, Kohli, who had led India in 95 ODIs, was sacked as ODI captain.

The Delhiite led India as a full-time captain for four years (since September 2017), in the white-ball format. Before replacing MS Dhoni as the white-ball captain, Kohli had already led India in the red-ball format for three seasons since 2015.
Rohit Sharma Overtakes Virat Kohli To Become Second Most Successful Captain For India In Totis
At first, the big fear and question in the minds of every Indian fan is, can Kohli carry on consistently in his batting, or is the added responsibility, like traveling Sachin Tendulkar? However, the result exceeded expectations, not only with the bat, but also with the captaincy of Team India. Ultimately, with series wins in a non-Asian culture, Kohli went on to become one of India’s most successful captains across all formats.
However, captaining the Indian team across all formats and franchise leagues has taken a toll on him. As of 2018, across all formats in the world, Kohli has captained 126 matches, no other captain has captained more than 100. In addition, there are 58 IPL matches, which is close to 180+ competitions in three years. It is undoubtedly a big number! It was the most painful thing ever, it happened to his beater. A batsman who hit a century every 15.6 innings through 2019 is yet to reach a century in any format since 2020 (52 innings).
Now that Rohit has got the captaincy in both the white ball positions, the burden has eased on Kohli. However, Kohli’s numbers as captain of the Indian team in ODIs are unparalleled, not only for India, but among all captains. Here are some of those records:
In the early stages, winning the tournament was one of India
