Warriors Cricket Logo – The International League T20 (ILT20) (also called DP World ILT20 for sponsorship reasons) is a T20 cricket tournament played in the United Arab Emirates. Approved by the Emirates Cricket Board.
The first tournament was scheduled for January and February 2023, but has been moved to January 2023, when six teams will compete.

Matches in Season 1 were played in standard Twty20 formats, figures were not included in the official record as the Emirates Cricket Board is not a full member of the International Cricket Council.
The International T20 League (ILT20) is a professional Twty20 cricket league in the United Arab Emirates. The league was launched in 2022 and is sanctioned by the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB). The first season of the ILT20 ran from 13 January to 12 February 2023, with six teams competing. Teams: Abu Dhabi Knight Riders, Dubai Capitals, Desert Vipers, Gulf Giants, MI Emirates, Sharjah Warriors
The ILT20 is played in a two-round format where each team plays the other team twice. The top four teams at the end of the regular season enter the playoffs. The playoffs consist of semi-finals, a play-off for third place and a final.
The first season of ILT20 was won by Gulf Giants who defeated Desert Vipers in the final. The tournament was a success, with good crowds and positive feedback from players and fans. The ILT20 is expected to be the premier cricket league in the UAE and the Middle East. The league has several rules designed to help young players develop, such as the requirement that each team must have at least two players under the age of 23.

Franchise owners Knight Riders Group, Reliance Industries, GMR Group, along with Lancer Capitals, Adani Group and Capri Global Holdings Pvt. Ltd were announced as the owners of the team.
The three previous IPL franchise owners (ie Kolkata Knight Riders, Mumbai Indians, Delhi Capitals) have also been given the option to sign up to four players from their current IPL teams.
The UAE-based ILT20, one of the biggest T20 leagues in the world, despite having lasted just one season due to the quality of the players it brought in, has been granted List A status by the ICC more than a month after its inception. The second season is the first T20 league run by the participating country’s board to be granted status.
This means that the tournament will now be recognized as an official T20 tournament and all tournament statistics will be given official status. In a statement, ILT20 called the update a “major step” and a “significant improvement.”

“Achieving List A status is an important milestone for the DP T20 International League. We would like to thank the ICC for the recognition,” said David White, chief executive of the league. “This recognition is testament to the strength and stature of our league.”
Two players in each team must be players from UAE and players from partner countries respectively.
There has been controversy over the ILT20 plan to require only one domestic player (UAE) in each team’s playing squad, with several Full Members calling for a maximum number of domestic players in the ILT20 and other T20 leagues.
In May 2021, Zee tertainmt terprises, owned by Essel Group, bought the media rights of this league for t years from 2023 to 2032 at a cost of 120 million dollars.
