When Is Icc World Cup – The International Cricket Council (ICC) ODI World Cup is one of the most anticipated events in the cricket calendar. Held once every four years, the tournament pits the world’s best cricketing nations against each other for the prestigious title of World Champions.
The ICC World Cup 2023 will be held in India starting on October 5, 2023 and will continue till November 19, 2023, but the excitement surrounding the event is building. When Is Icc World Cup
The ICC Men’s 50-over World Cup will follow the same format as the 2019 World Cup. A total of 10 teams will participate. 48 meetings will be held. The top eight teams from India, Pakistan, Australia, England, South Africa, New Zealand, Afghanistan and Bangladesh will qualify for this tournament. The remaining 2 teams will be selected from the World Super League Cup matches. The tournament is played in a round-robin format, with each team playing against 9 other teams once. After the round-robin stage, the top four teams advance to the semi-finals and the top two teams advance to the finals.

Team India will begin their World Cup campaign on October 8 against Australia in Chennai. The other big matches are against Pakistan in Ahmedabad (October 15), England in Lucknow (October 29) and South Africa in Kolkata (November 5). While India will play England in Guwahati on September 30, they will play Qualifier 1 in Trivandrum on October 3. The 46-day tournament uses 11 world-class courts, with each side playing once in a league format with the top four teams after 45 matches progressing to the semi-finals.
Old Trafford in Manchester hosts a maximum of six matches, while Edgbaston in Birmingham, Hampshire Bowl in Southampton, Lord’s and The Oval (both in London) and Trent Bridge in Nottingham host five. The Cardiff Wales Stadium in Cardiff and Headingley in Leeds are allocated four matches, while the Bristol County Ground in Bristol, the Taunton County Ground in Taunton and the Riverside in Chester-le-Street have three matches each.
