With the hiring of former national championship-winning quarterback Scott Frost as head coach, Nebraska appears to be on the right track. Frost led UCF to a 13-0 record in 2017. The Huskers went just 4-8 in 2018, 5-7 in 2019, 3-5 in 2020, 3-9 in 2021 and 4-8 in 2022.

Penn State went from back-to-back seven-win seasons in 2014 and 2015 to back-to-back 11-win seasons in 2016 and 2017, while the Nittany Lions finished in the top 10 of the AP poll. That stretch was the third two-year stretch in which Penn State has won at least 10 games in consecutive years since joining the Big Ten. After winning nine games in 2018, the Nittany Lions finished 11-2 in 2019 with a Cotton Bowl victory. They bounced back in 2020 going 4-5. Yale played its first football game at least seven years before every other school on this list. The Bulldogs joined the Ivy League in 1956 and the Ivy League moved to Division I-AA in 1982. Yale currently plays at the FCS level and won the Ivy League in 2019.
Oklahoma has averaged 11 wins per season since 2000 and the Sooners have made four College Football Playoffs, reaffirming their status as not only a historically great program but one of the best of this century.

Alabama has now won six national championships under Nick Saban, with the latest coming in the 2020 season. Alabama made the first five College Football Playoff berths before missing out in 2019.

President Donald Trump also offered his congratulations to the women’s team on Sunday, despite sparring with some of its members over whether to accept the president’s invitation to the White House.

Speaking to reporters in New Jersey on Sunday afternoon, Trump said he would like to see female athletes get paid the same as male athletes, but added that he has not looked at the numbers of what each member of the team makes. When asked if he would invite the USWNT to the White House, he said, “We haven’t thought about it yet. We’ll look into it.”

In June, Rapinoe said in a recorded interview that she would refuse to visit the White House if invited by Trump. “I’m not going to the White House,” Rapinoe told a reporter in a video clip shared on social media.
He added that Trump doesn’t invite teams he knows will be turned down or “like when the Warriors turned him down, he’ll say they weren’t invited in the first place.”
Trump later responded in a series of tweets, saying he would invite the women’s team win or lose, but added a reprimand for Rapinoe.
“I’m a big fan of the American team and women’s soccer, but Megan must win before she can speak! Get the job done!” Trump wrote.

Rapinoe later accepted an invitation from a representative on Twitter. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-NY, visited the US House of Representatives.
“It may not be the White House, but we’d be happy to welcome @mPinoe and the entire #USWMNT for a tour of the House of Representatives whenever they want,” Ocasio-Cortez said.
