Women’s One Day World Cup 2022 – The ICC Wom’s Cricket World Cup 2022 was the twelfth edition of the Wom’s Cricket World Cup, held in New Zealand in March and April 2022.
It was originally scheduled for February 6 to March 7, 2021, but was postponed a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

On 15 December 2021, the International Cricket Council (ICC) announced that the tournament would begin on 4 March 2022, with the final scheduled for 3 April 2022.

It was agreed that the remaining three spots would be determined through the 2021 Women’s Cricket World Cup qualifiers,
Australia was the first team to advance to the semi-finals after winning the first five matches of the tournament.
South Africa became the second team to reach the semi-finals, winning four of their first six group matches and earning a point for a draw against the West Indies.

The remaining two places in the semi-finals were determined by the results of the last two matches in the group stage of the tournament. In the first match, gland defeated Bangladesh by 100 runs to secure a place in the knockout stage.
The result meant that India were eliminated, with the West Indies taking the final place in the semi-finals.
Before the first semi-final match, both teams were without key players in their lineups. Australia’s Ellyse Perry has been ruled out of the match after suffering back spasms, which also saw her miss Australia’s final group match against Bangladesh.

For West Indies, Afy Fletcher missed the match after testing positive for COVID-19.
Women’s Cricket World Cup
Australia won the match by 157 runs, with Alyssa Healy and Rachael Haynes putting on 216 runs for the first wicket, including a century from Healy.
Danny Wyatt scored a goal and Sophie Ecclestone scored a hat-trick to help the champions reach the final.
In the final of the tournament, Australia defeated Gland by 71 runs to win their seventh World Cup.
Alyssa Healy was the top scorer of the match with 509 and was named Player of the Tournament.
Women’s U19 Cricket World Cup 2023 Semi Final Teams
On 27 November 2021, the ICC announced that qualification for the 2021 Women’s Cricket World Cup had been canceled due to concerns over a new variant of COVID and travel restrictions.
Under the ICC playing conditions, the remaining three qualification spots were based on team ranking, leaving Bangladesh, Pakistan and the West Indies to advance to the 2022 Women’s Cricket World Cup.
On 11 March 2020, the ICC announced six events for the 2022 Women’s World Cup. Ed Park hosted the final. The five other venues, used for the league stage and semi-finals, were Hagley Oval, Seddon Park, Bay Oval, University Oval and Basin Reserve.

On 24 February 2022, the ICC updated its playing conditions for the tournament, allowing only nine-match matches to be played in the event of an outbreak of COVID-19 in a team.

Along with the twelve umpires, Gary Baxter, Shandre Fritz and G.S. Lakshmi were also appointed as match referees.
On 1 April 2022, the ICC confirmed the umpires for the final, with Laur Agbag and Kim Cotton appointed as on-field umpires.
The original match was originally to be played at Bay Oval, Mount Maunganui, the two semi-finals at Seddon Park, Hamilton and Bay Oval, Mount Maunganui, with the final to be played at Ed Park, Auckland.
However, on 15 December 2020, the ICC announced that the two semi-finals would be played at Hagley Oval and Basin Reserve.

Prior to the World Cup, the participating countries played in eight warm-up matches, which took place from 27 February to 2 March 2022. These matches did not have Wom’s One Day International (WODI) or List A status.

On March 2020, it was announced that eight teams would participate in the league in the group stage, with each team playing each other once. This format was last used in the 2017 tournament.
The top four teams after the end of the league matches advanced to the semi-finals, where the winners met in the final.
