Sometimes players are selected based on the size of the field. They are asked to bowl from certain angles, calculating the distance to the boundary, aiming to make it as difficult as possible for the batsmen.
According to the International Cricket Council (ICC) playing standards, the size of the cricket field for men’s T20 cricket is determined by the length of the boundary. The maximum distance for the boundary is 90 yards (82.29 m) and the minimum distance is 65 yards (59.43 m) from the center of the pitch. The idea is to increase the amount of play space in each area.
According to the ICC Playing Standards, for women’s T20 cricket, the maximum boundary is 70 yards (64 m) and the minimum boundary is 60 yards (54.86 m) from the center of the pitch.
However, it should be noted that countries that do not meet the minimum ICC quota but are allowed to host international cricket will not be banned. In that case, limits will be set to increase the size of the playing field.

A pitch, also known as a ‘wicket’, is a rectangular section of the cricket field that is cut much smaller than the rest of the field. The color of the grass outside is more than green. This is where the basics and hitting and bowling are introduced.

Law 6.1 of the MCC Laws of Cricket states that a cricket wicket is 22 yards/20.12m/66 feet long and 3.33 yards/3.05m/10 feet wide.
These changes are for youth cricketers under the age of 11, who are required by National Youth Cricket League rules to play on pitches 21 yards/19.2m/63 feet long.
In this section, we will discuss in detail the cricket lines and the measurements you need when marking your wicket.
Bowling crease – The stumps will be placed in the middle of this line at both ends of the pitch. The bowling crease is a horizontal line 2.64 meters long. The distance between the two bowls on each side of the pitch is 22 yards/20.12 m/66 ft. It is roughly the length of a cricket pitch.

Popping Crease – This line is vertical and compact like the bowling crease. 3.66m in front of the television set and socket is 1.22m/4ft long. Bowlers must ensure that their front foot stays behind the line of the popping crease when landing, while fielding. Failure to keep the first leg behind the line will result in the umpire calling ‘no-ball’, meaning the bowler will have to bowl another delivery and one run will be added to the fan club’s score.
Batting Crease – The space between the bowling circle and the popping crease line is called the ‘batting crease’. Batsmen must ensure that part of their body or bat is behind the popping crease, inside the batting side, while playing the ball and before reaching the crease. Risk of running out or getting hurt. This applies to both sides of the wicket so the bowler at the non-striker’s end must hold their bag until the bowler releases the ball so that it can be completed televised.
Return Crease – These vertical lines are 2.44m/8ft long, perpendicular to the popping crease on either side of the pitch. Bowlers must stay within this line while playing. If any part of the back-foot bowlers comes into contact with the back bag when they release the ball, a no ball is called, the bowler bowls the ball again and one run is added to the score.
Broad Guidelines – These lines are only useful for short overs games such as 20-over, 50-over and 100-over games and are drawn between the popping crease and the bowling circle. The lines measured 17 inches on the return bag on both sides of the pitch. If the ball is hit outside these guidelines on either side of the wicket, a ‘pop wide’ is called by the umpire, the ball must be bowled again and one run added to the score. tea party

Safe Area Markers – These markers are small hash markers that protect certain areas of the pitch from players standing there and moving down the pitch, possibly giving the television side an unfair advantage. The first set of markers are marked 1.53m/5ft forward on each side of the pitch and correspond to the popping crease at each end. The other set is marked on either side of the central core at 12in pitch.
According to MCC rules, the height of the cricket stump is 28 inches from the ground and the combined width of the three stumps is 9 inches. Both sides of the pitch have a set of bases facing each other at each end of the pitch. Each set of foundations has two, 4.4-inch long wooden boxes mounted in foundation grooves. When installed, the brackets should not be more than half an inch above the bases.

The inner circle or ’30-yard circle’ is only used in short games with strict competition rules, where the fielding side is allowed to have several fields outside the circle to the inside.
The boundary is the outer part of the playing field usually marked by white lines, boundary tape or boundary flags. Batsmen look to the ball to cross the boundary to score 4 or 6 runs as the ball bounces before crossing the ropes. The distance to the boundary is measured from the center of the wicket or from the midfield but varies from ground to ground depending on its size and/or level of competition.
For the national level, the minimum and maximum limits are defined in the competition rules. The International Cricket Council (ICC) standard for men’s international cricket is that the boundary must be more than 90 yards (270ft) and not less than 65 yards (59.43 m) from the center of the field. The wicket is being used. Women’s international cricket similarly requires a boundary 60 to 70 yards (54.86 and 64.01 m) from the middle of the wicket.
MCC Law 19.1.2 states that no part of the cricketer’s visual defenses must enter the boundary. Masks are made of large structures
