I just have to focus on what I can do for the team and try to bat to the best of my ability and help the team as much as possible,” Kohli told the host when asked about ending his drought of Test centuries away from home.
“These stats and milestones, if I do it in a situation where the team needs me, to me it’s more special than just a number. Honestly, it won’t mean anything in 15-20 years. It’s the impact you leave on field that is more special to me and the team, he said.

Kohli said the conditions were not conducive for smooth batting but he was happy with his performance. Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Mahindra shared a short video of Indian cricketer Virat Kohli scoring his 71st century after almost three years in the 2022 Asia Cup Super Four match against Afghanistan.
Mahindra celebrated Kohli’s special moment by tweeting, “WAKE UP! Real heroes roll with the punches and prove naysayers wrong with just their actions…”.
Kohli also ended his drought with his maiden T20 international century, remaining unbeaten on 122 off 61 deliveries to power India to 212-2 in Dubai.

Celebrating with a wave of the bat, he smiled and said, “So those angry celebrations are a thing of the past. I was actually shocked. This is the last format I thought (of making a century). This is an accumulation of many things. “

He also kissed his wedding ring when he scored 100. Kohli dedicated the century to his wife Anushka Sharma, Bollywood actress. 100.
