Women’s Cricket World Cup 2023 Venue – The International Cricket Council (ICC) ODI World Cup is one of the most anticipated events in the cricket calendar. Held every four years, the tournament brings together the best cricketing nations from around the world to compete for the prestigious title of World Champions.

The ICC World Cup 2023 is slated to be hosted by India, starting on October 5, 2023 and ending on November 19, 2023, but the excitement surrounding the event is already building. This will be the first time that India will host the tournament exclusively on home soil. In the past, in 1987, 1996 and 2011, India hosted the event in collaboration with neighboring countries Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. The ICC announced the ODI World Cup 2023 schedule on Tuesday, June 27. The first match will be between England and New Zealand on October 5 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

The ICC Men’s 50 Over World Cup will have the same format as the World Cup 2019. There will be a total of 10 teams. There will be 48 matches on the schedule. The top 8 teams from India, Pakistan, Australia, England, South Africa, New Zealand, Afghanistan and Bangladesh qualify for the tournament. The remaining 2 teams will be selected in the Super League World Cup matches. The tournament will be held in a round-robin format, where each team will play once against the other 9 teams. After the round, the top 4 teams will advance to the semi-finals and the top two teams will advance to the finals.

10 teams are supposed to play in ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, these teams are India, England, Australia, South Africa, New Zealand, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, West Indies and Afghanistan.

The matches will be played at multiple locations across the country such as Ahmedabad, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Delhi, Indore, Dharamsala, Guwahati, Rajkot, Raipur and Mumbai. Below is the list of ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 stadiums:

Timing wise, the day/night matches start at 14:00 IST. As the daily matches will start at 10:30 AM IST. In total we have 6 daily matches and 42 D/N matches. India, England and South Africa are the only three teams that will not be playing one-dayers. While Bangladesh will play a total of three ODIs.

Team India will begin their World Cup campaign on October 8 against champions Australia in Chennai. Other big matches are against Pakistan in Ahmedabad (October 15), England in Lucknow (October 29) and South Africa in Kolkata (November 5). Apart from the above mentioned matches, Team India will also play 2 warm-up matches before the tournament. While India will play England on September 30 in Guwahati, they will play Qualifier 1 on October 3 in Trivandrum. Held in South Africa between 10 and 26 February 2023.

South Africa automatically qualified for the tournament as hosts. They were joined by the seven highest-ranked teams in the ICC Wom T20I rankings on 30 November 2021 to compete in the ICC Wom T20 World Cup 2020 in Australia.

Each team selected a 15-man squad before the tournament to replace any injured players.

In August 2022, the ICC announced that three venues in three cities would host the matches. Sights included Newlands Cricket Ground, St George’s Park and Boland Park.

On 27 January 2023, the ICC appointed an all-female panel of referees for the tournament. In addition to the referees, G. S. Lakshmi, Shandre Fritz and Michell Pereira were also appointed as match referees.

A total prize pool of $2,450,000 was available for the tournament, which was distributed based on the performance of the teams as follows:

Before the T20 World Cup, the participating nations competed in t warm-up matches played between 6 February and 8 February 2023. These matches did not have the status of Wom’s Twty20 International (WT20I) nor WT20.
